How to Hire a Construction Drone Provider
A practical guide to choosing the right drone partner for progress monitoring, earthworks, BIM comparison and inspections.
Hiring a drone cleaning company works best with a clear brief: what to clean, the building height and surfaces, the main problem, access and timing — then send every provider the same brief.
1. Describe the job
State what needs cleaning (façade, windows, roof, solar, tank), the property type, the address and the approximate area.
2. Describe the building
Give the building height and the surfaces — glass, EIFS, stucco, brick, metal, roof type — plus the main problem such as algae, dirt, rust or bird droppings.
3. Describe site access
Note parking, water supply, power, nearby roads or pedestrians, landscaping to protect and any airport nearby. Providers use this to plan setup and safety zones.
4. Check evidence and insurance
Ask for Part 107 certificates, aviation and general liability insurance, any state applicator licence for algaecides, product safety data sheets and before-and-after photos.
5. Compare on the same brief
Use our request form so every provider receives identical requirements, then compare method, evidence, timing and price. Book directly — there is no commission on direct enquiries.
Questions to Ask Every Provider
- • Which drone platform and payload will you use, and what is its working height?
- • Have you cleaned buildings with our surfaces and height? Can we see before-and-after photos?
- • Which products will you use, and how will you protect plants, vehicles and people?
- • How will you manage runoff to meet local stormwater rules?
- • Do you hold Part 107 certificates and aviation liability insurance, and can you name us as additional insured?
- • What is your weather policy, and what happens if we are not happy with the result?
